Who we are

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Al Ikhlas Waqf Trust (AIWAT) is a charitable, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established on June 12, 2018, and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (RC No. 112876). The Trust is also an affiliate of the Association of Zakat and Waqf Operators of Nigeria (AZAWON).

AIWAT was founded with the noble mission of reviving and promoting the spirit of Waqf (endowment) as a tool for sustainable social development. Guided by Islamic values of ikhlas (sincerity), transparency, and service to humanity, we mobilize and manage resources to enhance the welfare, empowerment, and development of communities—without discrimination or delay.

Being one of the leading organization in eradicating poverty through basic requirements for the most vulnerable and safeguard matrimonial.

Our Mission

To serve humanity by providing feeding, education, health care, empowering vulnerable women and youth by repositioning them for a greater ummah, pre-marital counselling and settling marital discord through marriage counselling.

Our Goals & Objectives

 

  • Collect, manage, and distribute Zakat and Waqf efficiently.

  • Support widows, orphans, and the less privileged through feeding, healthcare, and education.

  • Empower underprivileged individuals with skills and resources for self-reliance.

  • Reposition youth for leadership and societal contribution.

  • Provide guidance and counselling on family and marital affairs.

  • Collaborate with government bodies and like-minded organizations for shared goals.

  • Above all, strive to earn Allah’s pleasure and mercy in all our efforts.
